About Us

The Northern Hills Master Gardeners are associated with the Master Gardener Program at South Dakota State University which provides university-level training to the volunteers. We are a community resource organized to promote gardening through education and sharing of our expertise toward solving problems. The information we provide is based on the latest research from various Extension resources and adapted to fit local climates and growing conditions.
Master Gardeners can:
• Answer your questions about gardening and yard problems
• Speak to local service groups
• Assist with school and community gardens
• Assist with youth groups
